Writing angle
The pen-to-paper angle where the tipping lands flat.
Fountain pens write best held around 40–55° to the page with both tines touching evenly — the "sweet spot" where the polished face of the tipping meets paper. Steeper or rotated holds land the tipping’s edge instead: skip, scratch, and mystery.
If a pen behaves for a friend and misbehaves for you, angle and rotation are the first suspects. Ten minutes of deliberate practice usually relocates the sweet spot.
